Testimonials

I started the La Madre's Table classes feeling very isolated and socially awkward from the pandemic and some emotional challenges I'd been facing.  Feeling so received and accepted by the instructor, Tovia, and how she created the container for the time in the wilderness together as a group, was so healing.  The outdoor classes gave me the space to be silly with other people, to be wild again, to connect with that very true and natural part of myself.  I felt like it gifted back to me the truth of our connection to the natural world, that we are enough, that we all matter, and that there is power and healing in time in nature.  - Jacqui

Tovia’s rewilding program is a powerful holistic learning and healing experience.  Over the course of several months, we learned how to thoughtfully interact with the local environment in order to identify medicinal plants and prepare them for use.  I have taken multiple courses on herbal remedies over the years and never have I experienced such a thoughtful retreat-like format that not only deepened my knowledge of plants, but also deepened my connection to our local ecosystem, to the other participants in the course, and to myself.

Tovia’s knowledge and nurturing approach to teaching,  cultivates an atmosphere of empowerment, trust, creativity, healing, and community.  This program has the potential to transform individuals and communities.  I look forward to taking another course with Tovia soon.  -Eileen Pedersen, El Prado, NM

Tovia's herbology class was very unique. Listening, observing, testing, smelling and feeling each plant created a very personal experience for me.  Being alone but together in silence, in nature for a period of time was very nurturing and healing. As well as being with other women making  medicine and sharing our healing journeys. I loved Tovia's receptive and empowering approach to learn from mother nature. -Darine
